Brisbane’s most creative artisans get together to show

their wares under one roof for the Christmas

BrisStyle

Indie Markets

. Belinda Chisholm

admits she spends

hours sourcing fabrics and materials that standout for

her hand-made Sybella bags and clutches that are part of

the selection on sale. Or get crafty anytime at one of the

BrisStyleHQ weekly workshops coming next year at 1F/

24 Macquarie Street, Teneriffe. More than 60 stalls at

BrisStyle Indie Markets, City Hall, from 9am to 4pm on

13 December. See

www.brisstyle.com.au

You won’t find electronic or computer games

at

Presents of Mind

but you will find a choice

of eccentric games such as Primordial Soup (a

tribe of amoeba in a battle for survival), Camel

Up, Germany’s Best Family Board Game of

the Year, or Finska, a fun outdoor game for the

beach, backyard or park from Finland. Owners

Peter and Tricia have built an interesting and

unusual range of gifts – for not all of them are

games – for all ages, including science, craft and

construction kits, puzzles and novelties. Presents

of Mind, 285 Given Terrace, Paddington. Open

7 days. See

Street Plaza from 12 to 23 December with stalls

brimming with festive fare fromChristmas

puddings, ornaments and decorations to toys,

gingerbread, cards and gift ideas. At twilight the

markets come alive with Christmas cheer under

magical lights with carol singers, musicians and

children’s entertainers. From 11am to 8pm daily.

Greg and Julie Dodge love meeting people and

love even more trying to help solve the most

challenging gift dilemma.

Dandelyon Gifts

in

West End is overflowing with ‘gifts for the heart’,

Greg and Julie’s own definition of their selection of

inspirational and unique gifts, chosen with love and

thought. It’s a treasure chest of tea lights, leadlight

lamps, crystals, clothing, hand-dyed doilies and

hand-picked jewellery, a cornucopia of more

than 5000 items, plus tarot and psychic readings

available to book as well. It’s not so much a store as

a rabbit hole to happiness as Greg and Julie know it.

Open 7 days at 173 Boundary Street, West End.
