A: Under the terms of its lease from the Australian Government, BAC is responsible for ensuring airport infrastructure to service demand for air travel is available. Based on historical data, forecasting has been undertaken that shows increased demand for air travel into the future – more people from South–East Queensland and around the world wishing to travel, more people undertaking business interstate or overseas and more freight moving around the national and globally.
