FREE TIME?
Then catch our Free Courtesy Bus to a world of on-Airport shopping, food and fashion.
It's all just a short, 10 minute bus ride from the International Terminal. And it's a free service that will get you there and back in plenty of time to make your connection.
Whether you are early for your flight, in-transit or just waiting for friends to arrive, you can hop on the Free No.1 Courtesy Bus and head for the Airport Village. Visit the Direct Factory Outlet (DFO) and a wide range of retail stores.
You can't miss it - departs regularly from the International Terminal on Level 4 and the Airport Village bus stop.
It's a hassle-free way to make the most of your free time while at Brisbane Airport.

6 hour transit stop
Depending on your arrival time you can spend your time shopping at the DFO or you can board the Airtrain ($27 per adult return - kids travel free) or Shuttle Bus and discover the delights of Brisbane City. Within 25 minutes of leaving Brisbane Airport you can be strolling down Queen Street Mall in the heart of downtown Brisbane and amongst the best shopping you will find in Queensland.
Nearby are the Brisbane Botanical Gardens, South Bank Parklands and activities of the Brisbane River.
For something a little more adventurous, hire a bicycle and ride throughout the city, or catch a City Cat and explore the Brisbane River getting on & off wherever you please.
8+ hour transit stop
With 8 hours between flights you can enjoy a City Sights Tour where you get off & on at leisure exploring Brisbane’s famous landmarks. Alternatively a ½ day guided City Sights Tour will give you a great overview of Brisbane as well as some added extra attractions.
If you’re feeling adventurous why not custom design a day of sightseeing and let your own personal driver do the rest – visit Australia Zoo – home of Steve Irwin the "Crocodile Hunter", explore the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, or take in the pristine beaches of the Gold Coast or Sunshine Coast.
Luggage Lockers
Lockers have recently been installed at the International Terminal and there are also lockers located at the Village Markets and Roma Street Transit Centre in Brisbane City. Unfortunately lockers are not available at the Domestic Terminal.

Airport Village
A limited amount of lockers are also available at the Village Markets, which are located approximately 6 kilometres from the domestic terminal and approximately 3 kilometres from The International Terminal. They are located to the right hand side of the Woolworth's supermarket entrance. These lockers may also assist if you are shopping at the direct factory outlet, which is located directly opposite the village markets. Lockers are available from Monday to Friday between 7am and 10pm and Saturday and Sunday between 7am and 7pm. It is not possible to reserve a locker.

Roma Street Transit Centre - Brisbane City
Locker facilities are also available at the The Roma Street Transit Centre in Brisbane City, you would need to contact them directly for information regarding this service on free call 1-800 632 640.
These facilities are useful when travelling into Brisbane Central and Airtrain travels directly from the Terminals to Roma Street Transit Centre (for train timetable enquiries please contact Airtrain on (07) 3216 3308).
Unaccompanied Baggage
If you are travelling on from Brisbane you may like to consider sending your luggage ahead as unaccompanied baggage, you can do this from the International terminal, Level 4 by taking your luggage to the Qantas unaccompanied baggage counter where they will send your goods on ahead for you. They can be contacted on 1300 368 747 to determine the cost involved.
