At Brisbane Airport, we’re proud to stand behind our sporting heroes by sponsoring the Brisbane Roar, Brisbane Lions, Brisbane Broncos and Queensland Fire and Brisbane Heat teams.
Cricket season might be winding down, but there's still plenty of sport kicking around in Brissy to quench your thirst. AFL, NRL and NRLW return in March, with the Rugby World Cup landing in Australia in October 2027.

Rugby World Cup 2027 – Hosted in Australia
Australia is hosting the Rugby World Cup in 2027. Brisbane will be hosting six pool matches, two round of 16 matches and two quarter finals. Kicking off October 2027, the Rugby World Cup starts just in time for any passionate footy fans, coming off the back of the NRL season, meaning 2027 will be a huge year of footy.
- Saturday 2 October 2027: England vs Tonga Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane
- Monday 4 October 2027: Argentina vs Canada, Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane
- Saturday 9 October 2027: France vs Japan, Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane
