A major upgrade to the Domestic Terminal baggage system is currently underway delivering a centralised system with world-class technology, belts and screening equipment which will improve reliability. The baggage system upgrades require nearly 100 separate phases to ensure we impact passengers and operations as little as possible.
Overview
One of the biggest improvements being made during the Domestic Terminal Security Upgrade project is behind the scenes in the baggage system. This new, world-class baggage system will centralise checked baggage operations across the entire Domestic Terminal to replace the three separate baggage systems originally installed in the 1980's.
